PRODUCT CARE
Urban adventures, a day trip, venturing into stormy weather: no matter what you are doing, Duvetica is with you thanks to cool, colorful designs. But how can you make the most of your Duvetica puffer jacket? Here are some tips to wash, dry, and store your favorite must-haves, for never-ending fun.
How to wash your Duvetica puffer jacket
If worn regularly, a puffer jacket should be washed twice a season, once if worn sporadically, and you should count one more time when you are storing it for the next winter. First of all, make sure to empty the pockets. Zip the jacket and pockets close and loosen any elastic cords.
Hand wash your jacket in the sink or the bathtub to be extra careful. Use a detergent for delicates, as strong chemicals might damage the external shell, along with stripping down feathers of their natural oils (the ones that allow down feathers to maintain their fluffiness). Let it soak for a while before draining it. Don’t twist or wring out your jacket. If you are thinking to wash your jacket just because you are dealing with some stains, think twice: try wiping them first with a wet cloth. That might suffice.
Do not: use bleach or fabric softeners on your puffer jacket.

How to dry your Duvetica puffer jacket
Air-dry your jacket by laying it flat on a towel and rolling the excess water out. Then place it in a warm area to dry, out of direct sunlight. It should take 24 to 48 hours.
If you find yourself wanting to restore fluff from your air-dried jacket, you can put it in the dryer for about 10 minutes on the no heat setting, with dryer (or clean tennis) balls: they will help knock the feathers around to avoid large clumps and fluff the jacket back into shape.
Do not: Iron your offer jacket.
How to store your Duvetica puffer jacket at home
Once your puffer jacket is clean, in order to ensure it will be in excellent condition for the following season, you want to store it properly. Make sure everything is taken out of your jacket pockets. Besides that, check that the zippers are zipped and the hood is placed carefully on the back of the jacket. This will help to maintain its original shape. Hang it on a wooden or plastic hanger in a dry place; spacious plastic bins are also acceptable.
Do not: store it in packing cubes, or crowded fabric bags for long periods of time (to prevent flat spots).

How to pack your Duvetica puffer jacket
Prevent crushing your puffer coat by simply packing your coat last, at the top of your luggage. To pack correctly, zip or button the front. Fold the sleeves inward over the center and roll from the top to the bottom.
Do not: Pack it at the bottom of your suitcase or bag (along with losing shape and fluff, it might be stained by cosmetic products or liquids).
